In Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas, a motor vehicle accident can happen at any time and in a seemingly endless number of circumstances. When out on the road, it is a known risk. Eight people were injured, with two suffering critical injuries, when a vehicle ran into a hair salon recently. The incident occurred at around 7 p.m. According to the law enforcement investigation, a 58-year-old man drove into the establishment and continued until the vehicle hit the rear of the building. It is not believed that the driver was under the influence or suffered a medical issue sparking the accident. He suffered minor injuries, received treatment and was released.
A 42-year-old female and her daughter, age 15, each had both of their legs broken. The mother had a head injury as well. They were said to be in critical condition. A 46-year-old woman had cuts on her head. A 44-year-old woman broke her ankle. A female worker, 29, had a broken leg, facial cuts and broken ribs. Another female worker, 38, broke her leg and suffered injuries to her head. Finally, a 32-year-old woman had cuts and bruises. The investigation is ongoing.
With any car accident, there is a chance that there will be medical bills, injuries that cause long-term damage and even death. Some of the worst kind of accidents are when the person is not in a vehicle and is hit. This is even more risky when they are not expecting nor are they prepared for the chance of being in a crash.
